The vast majority of these are totaly pointless for anything other than having some fun with your shot gun.

Lets look at the ones that MIGHT have a SPECIFIC use:

Door Breacher: Could be good, if you plan on breaching doors in SHTF. Could just use a slug though, cause at that point, you wont be as worried about collateral damage.

Rubber Rocket/pepper spray: You arent doing crowd control. So: Pointless

Confetti: Would be fun at fourth of july, ill admit that

Flechettes: Are just totaly pointless and ineffective. They dont cause enough wound trauma to stop targets and about 50% of the flechettes will never stabalize before they get to your target, will hit off center and wont penetrate.

Armor Piercing: Could certainly have its uses, but most slugs can penetrate just as much as this thing claims.

Double Slug: Pointless, inaccurate, ineffectual.

Exploder: COuld be fun, ill admitt it. Inaccurate..slug would be better.

Macho Caucho: Illegal in most states. Inaccurate. Ineffective. Cant insure a postive threat-ending shot.

Pepper Blast: Odds are youll be just as effected as the target. Bad Idea to debilitate yourself, eh?

Rhodesian Jungle: Pointless. The small shot is to small to stop a threat, there isnt enough large shot to garuntee success.

Flash Grenade: That would be fun, though I question its combat effectivness. But....

Piranah, terminator and flame thrower......TOTALY POINTLESS AND A WASTE. THe dragons breat are fun, no doubt about it, but not COMBAT EFFECTIVE and could likley cause you more harm than your target in prolonged engagments, and even harm to the shot gun. They also dont work well in auto shotty's, if you have one(Like a saiga 12).



The moral of the story. Stick to buck shot, 00 is prefered, and slugs. Its the most common used by LEO's and Military all over the world, and has been since WW1...for a damn good reason.

All the rest, is just for fun and should not be used for or relied upon IN combat.

before SHTF. Imagine telling a DA you were defending yourself and home and thats why you lit the perp on fire with your flame throwing shotgun ammo....

Which is the ONLY philosophy that succeeds in justifiable homicide cases.

Use "non-lethal" or "less-than-lethal" when you're claiming you are facing lethal force, and you will be charged with ADW.

RIGHT:

Good points! There seems to be an radidly expanding market in these "gimmick" and "non lethal" shotgun shells. Stick to buckshot and slugs.

I don't think anyone here thinks they could fire a flame thrower round out of their shotgun without the possibility of damaging it. If you, or anyone here wants to buy these, DYODD (which should go without saying).

The most exotic rounds I will ever own are the 3 inch magnum slugs that I have. They are exotic because I usually only use 2 3/4 rounds. :bear_w00t:
